Stopped in off the highway. Had seafood platter( I had already ate the coleslaw when I took the photo ) Food was delicious, decent portion as well. Definitely recommended if in the area.
Very nice place and atmosphere, however I think either they made my order wrong or something ordered a large clams and when I picked up the bag I thought "there's no way this is a large and if so id hate to see the small" but left without saying anything opened up the bag. And the container looks like what I would expect if I ordered a small fries at other take outs. I looked at some reviews and saw pictures of clams served in whats clearly bigger packaging, included a picture from such review for reference. You can also see his are alot more cooked then mine. Had a few after taking the picture and most were not hot on the inside. I will say you can tell these are fresh and that's awesome. But it sucks knowing that I either got a botched order in size and quality due to how busy it was or that portion sizes have gotten smaller within the last 2 years. Would probably go back if I have the time to make sure the order is correct because judging from the other reviews I'm thinking this was a one off, and not indicative to a typical experience. If anyone who's eaten here can tell me if I did get the right size that would help greatly
Food was awesome. Abit of a wait but well worth it. I had the Haddie Bites and my son had the burger was a real homemade burger. Definitely worth the stop
Carla's is the best little takeout in digby! The food is always cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and the whole place is very clean. If you're from out of town stopping by Carla's is a must! I personally recommend their seafood platter (pictured) and their burgers! 10/10
The Haddie bits were large pieces of haddock lightly dusted and fried deliciously golden brown. This is the go to place for locals and there will be a well worth it cooked to order wait!
I had the large fish and chips. Large? Try gigantic! Amazingly tasty fish! It might be the best I have ever had! It was a different batter than I am used to, but it worked amazing! The fish was so very flaky and fresh! Best take out! Best fish and chips! You need to try it!
Wow. Great food, super friendly staff, plus the food was on spot. Got the fish n chips and chicken strips n chips. Generous servings, plus it was like 10 mins so super quick. Great first time in Digby, even better first meal. Will i be back..... see ya in a week
We ate here 3 times in the 3 days we stayed in the area. We had the seafood platter, lobster rolls and scallops. Everything we had was cooked perfectly and the prices were more than reasonable. Portions are big and the service was excellent.
